CWMET


Cumbria Waste Management Environmetn Trust, otherwise known as CWMET, provides grant assistance to local community groups and organisations for environmental projects. The money comes from Cumbria Waste Management and Lakeland Waste Management as a portion of their tax bill under the landfill tax scheme. Cumbria Waste Management Environment Trust (CWMET) supports projects across Carlisle, Eden, Allerdale, Copeland, South Lakes and Barrow districts.


The project must be within a 10 mile radius of a landfill site. Please contact us for further information and an application pack. The Trust accepts applications 4 times a year. The deadline dates for 2007 are:
