VAC works with people and communities to improve the quality of life in rural Cumbria

Rural Women's Network

The Rural Women’s Network provides a way of meeting new people all of which have started their own business and gives the opportunity to discuss experiences. Currently this programme has developed into a group of networks which are self managed and supported by VAC.

The current groups are:-

Art
Complimentary Therapy
Equine
South Lakes
Cockermouth
Wigton
Brampton
Penrith

The Carlisle and Outdoor Activities groups are still to be started.

We are also developing cross national links with women’s enterprises in Cumbria experiencing work with similar networks in Sweden and France via a programme called Tower ‘inspiring women entrepreneurs’
